The project “In My Village Symphonic”<\/strong> emerges in a cultural context where the divide between urban and rural life is becoming increasingly pronounced, and the connection between people and nature is growing more tenuous in the public consciousness. Themes and motifs of village life are rarely promoted through contemporary art forms, contributing to the marginalization of rural cultural heritage, especially among younger generations in urban environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, audiences\u2014particularly the young, educated, and digitally connected\u2014are increasingly seeking authentic, interdisciplinary cultural experiences that combine diverse artistic perspectives and languages. Although urban cultural offerings are expanding, initiatives that translate identity-related themes into forms relevant to the present remain rare and unevenly distributed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the same time, audiences\u2014particularly the young, educated, and digitally connected\u2014are increasingly seeking authentic, interdisciplinary cultural experiences that combine diverse artistic perspectives and languages. Luiza Zan<\/strong>, one of the most remarkable voices in Romanian jazz, composed the album “In My Village”<\/strong> during the pandemic, while living in a village in Covasna County. There, amidst nature and rural life, she discovered a profound and meaningful existence, which became the primary source of inspiration for the album. Born from direct experience with village life and warmly received by music lovers, the album is now being rearranged into a large-scale symphonic form, transformed into pieces that evoke moments from nature and rural life, expressed through a contemporary artistic language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the project, Luiza Zan will be accompanied by an exceptional ensemble:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Andrei Petrache<\/strong> \u2013 pianist, conductor, and one of the most promising voices in contemporary music composition;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Alexandru Marin<\/strong> \u2013 a versatile double bassist and bassist, known for his refined technique;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • R\u0103zvan Florescu<\/strong> \u2013 vibraphonist and percussionist with remarkable sensitivity;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Philip Goron<\/strong> \u2013 drummer and percussionist, known for his precision and onstage energy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    These four musicians will perform both as part of the extended symphonic concert format and as a quintet in three additional concerts held in Bucharest, Cluj<\/strong>, and Gala\u021bi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
